The Advocate Radio Program
The Advocate Radio Program is an edifying alternative to other "advice shows" that are not Christ-centered and do not provide the legal perspective necessary to completely analyze and solve many of the problems facing the Christian Community today. While listening to various "advice programs" (both Christian and secular), Janet sensed a need for the Christian Community to gain access to Biblically based advice, rather than man's opinion or psychology based adviceAlthough Janet obtained both a Bachelor's of Science and a Master's of Science in Psychology / Counseling prior to her conversion, she does not think that true behaviorial change (which is the very essence of the study of psychology), comes from psychology, its theories, principles or application. Rather, Janet knows that true behaviorial change (e.g.) Romans 12:1-2 transformation, comes from the power of the Holy Spirit. Despite this truth, "Christian" Counselors and other popular advice programs, continue to give Christians advice that is many times not just unbiblical, but more importantly, is a direct contradiction to the teachings of the Bible and thus, is detrimental to the growth of a Christian (Ps 1:1)
The Advocate Radio Program originated first, as stirring in the heart of Janet Carter regarding the need. Then, after Janet became more and more aggravated with the standard, and after asking the Lord to show her whether she should do something about it. In direct resonse to her inquiry one day, Janet got Proverbs 22:20-21
certainty of the words of truth that you may answer words of truth to those who send to you?"
Once Janet got the scriptural confirmation, she stepped out and sought to get The Advocate Radio Program on the air. ON December 20, 2003, by the grace of God and the obedience of some truly godly men at kkla radio in Los Angeles, The Advocate Radio Program ran for nearly two years. An endearing listening audience grew over that period of time and expressed much dissapointment when the program was taken off the air. But within just a few short months, The Advocate Radio Program found a new home with the wonderful management and staff at IRNUSA NEWS www.irnusanews.com and since that time the program has been broadcast on several stations throughout the nation.
