About Janet Carter, Esq.

After obtaining a Master’s Degree in Counseling, Janet became a born again Christian over twenty years ago. Janet has practiced as a Christian Attorney for sixteen years, most of which was spent at the Advocate Legal Center, Inc., serving as legal counsel to many churches, non-profit ministries and Christian clientele, in the areas of civil litigation, family law, business, profit & non-profit Corporate Law. In 2003, Janet started The Advocate Radio Program, which is a live call-in radio program providing both personal problem-solving and/or legal advice with a Biblical perspective.

In 2006, Janet formed Word-Up Ministries, Inc. to meet the ever-increasing need for issue driven Bible Study. These are solid Bible teaching sessions, tailor-made to meet the specific needs of any group or congregation, each session concludes with an open forum Q & A session where participants are provided the opportunity to ask specific legal questions to assist with their individual needs.

In 2009, Janet moved out of the courtroom into the role of Christian Mediator and/or settlement negotiator based on 1 Corinthians 6:1-6. Janet provides a unique combination of gifts, skills and talents not readily available in the Christian community. She is available to work with non-profit boards, churches, pastors, congregations and individuals to resolve a wide variety of disputes and arrive at mutually agreeable terms in accordance with the laws of the land and the Word of God. Thus, significantly reducing the costs of litigation for all parties.

Janet’s personal experiences, the experiences shared with her clients, as well the numerous live radio inquiries she has addressed, have given her a rich background upon which to base her legal and Biblical advice and teachings.
